Tour Hoboken This November
Featuring the work of over 100 local artists, there’s a free city-wide self-guided walking tour of artists’ studios, galleries and group exhibitions on Sunday November 8th from Noon – 6 pm in Hoboken.
With many locations, the tour is designed so that you can easily walk from studio to studio and gallery to gallery. Since Hoboken is only a square mile, every site is convenient to the next. You will see art in many forms, representing an exciting variety of mediums. Visitors will have a chance to meet the artists, photographers, sculptors and artisans and witness the creative process at work. Even poets, musicians and performance artists will be on hand to make your day a memorable one. You can pick up your free tour map at City Hall, on the day of the tour.
Another great way to get to know and love your city is through the Hoboken Food and Culture Tour. You can take a behind-the-scenes-tour in historic Hoboken, New Jersey of the most authentic Italian gourmet food businesses in the United States! You’ll visit Carlo’s City Hall Bake Shop, home of “Cake Boss”, as seen on The Learning Channel. Sample some award-winning mozzarella cheese that’s made right in front of you at Lisa’s Italian Deli. And try a piece of warm Italian bread, handmade and baked in a traditional coal-burning brick oven.
Plus, what’s an Italian food tour without pizza? Stop at the Zagat-rated Grimaldi’s Coal Brick-Oven Pizzeria, for a sample of the best pizza this side of Naples! And if you want more, you’ll visit Empire Coffee & Tea which has been owned by the same family since it was founded in 1908! As an added bonus the tour will stop at the site of the childhood home of Hoboken’s most famous son, Frank Sinatra!
