Hoboken’s Saint Patrick’s Day
For many Irish people in America, March is all about St. Patrick’s Day. For Hoboken’s own, there’s a special St. Patrick’s Day Saturday that takes place on March 5th. The “Lepre-con Day” event, or “St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl,” begins early in the morning and goes on until the wee ours of the night. While not organized by the city, this noteworthy Saint Patrick’s Day celebration is the product of fun-loving residents and welcoming local businesses with roots going back nearly 30 years! This year’s event will offer discounted cover prices and drink specials from over 20 different bars, with about 4,000 participants expected to attend.
Many venues will be participating in this year’s “All Access Pass,” so be sure to get yours soon as ticket prices will increase as the date gets closer.. One of the bars, Teak on the Hudson opens at 9 a.m., but most of the bars will start festivities at 10 or 11 a.m.
While people will be pouring in from all over, the Rivington’s great Hoboken location will give you front row access without having to worry about driving or parking. Your apartment will quickly become the go-to place come March once friends realize how convenient your home base is to all the green festivities. 😉
Keep the tradition going strong by getting up early and supporting the Hoboken community for its St. Patrick’s Day event this March!
