22nd Annual Hoboken Arts and Music Festival is Almost Here

by admin

One of Hoboken’s popular festivals will be taking place in just a few weeks on Sunday May 1st. For its 22nd year, the Hoboken Arts and Music Festival will stick to events and activities that have traditionally been done in the past, so participants can expect lots of food, fun, and enjoyment. The Hoboken Arts and Music Festival is just a quick walk– or an even shorter drive — from The Rivington for our residents to pop in anytime they please throughout the day.

Starting at 11 am, Rivington residents can join in on the activities. The arts feature of the event will include displays from artists and crafters from all over. There will be stations of artists showing off their best work in a variety of different mediums including oil, watercolor and acrylics. You can also get your art fill by viewing sculptures, photography and other art forms by local artists. Crafters will have homemade pottery, metal work, wood made pieces, quilts, candles and much more.

Art takes another form in itself when it comes to music. There will be several live music performances for all of Hoboken to enjoy during the day. Musical guests include Grammy Winner Leon Russell, Smokey’s Round-Up, Michael & the Rockness Monster and Emily & the Ideals. You can see a full line up on their website.

What would a festival be without food? Local food vendors will be offering a wide variety of cuisine to feast on– from almost any country you can think of! Food options include Indian, Thai, Greek, French, Mexican and Italian, all from around Hoboken and our surrounding cities.
