Do you have a little sweet tooth, especially during the holiday season? The second annual Sweet Soiree to benefit the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The Living Room at the W Hoboken, which is about a mile and a half from your Rivington apartment.
The tickets, which cost $40 per person, include admission, hors d’oeuvres, a donation to the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps, a mini bottle of La Marca Prosecco and, of course, dessert samplings.
You’ll get the chance to try homemade macaroons from Baking Mama, cake in a cup from But-A-Cake, cupcakes with holiday flavored filling and a candy bar from Jaret’s Stuffed Cupcakes, vegan and gluten-free mini chocolate and pumpkin donuts with dipping sauces from Om Sweet Home, Insomnia Cookies, sugar cookies from Sugar Suckles and warm apple fritters from Halifax.
The lively event will also include drinks and a DJ throughout the night. Plus, all attendees will receive a free class pass to Cycle Bar, Hoboken’s newest cycling studio. They will also meet representatives from True Mentors in Hoboken, who will share how they can help the less fortunate in their community.
Most importantly, the event will benefit the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps, which is 100 percent volunteer-run. This organization provides emergency medical care and transport to all Hoboken residents. Founded in the early 1970s, the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps has about 90 volunteers who are responsible for helping to keep the Hoboken community safe.
