A Taste of Italy in Hoboken this August
You know you’re in Hoboken when there’s a block party serving spaghetti! Thursday August 27th, Wicked Wolf is hosting a spaghetti dinner block party from 5 to 8 p.m. The event will feature four types of pasta, eggplant parmigiana, salad, sausage, meatballs, and Italian desserts. Taking place on the walkway along Sinatra Drive between 1st & 2nd Streets, the party will have live performances by Sinatra Idol winner, Peter Cafasso, and up & coming Sinatra style singer Zack Alexander.
*Friday August 21st is the last day to purchase tickets – so do so now! Tickets can be purchased at City Hall, 94 Washington St. on the 2nd floor from the Cultural Affairs Office. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children 12 & under, $12 for seniors. Make sure you get them now because no tickets will be sold at the door the night of the event!

On August 30th from 1 to 5 p.m., the 13th annual Heirloom Tomato-Tasting Festival is returning to Hoboken. Featuring a variety of New Jersey grown heirloom tomatoes, the festival is free to the public. While the heirloom tomatoes will be the main focus, other fresh produce will be available at the festival too, including; garlic, peppers, onions, squash, and much more. Samples of new heirloom tomatoes will be available to try, and the Hoboken Historical Museum will be providing coal fired oven bread for an authentic touch.
