Improve your Cooking Skills Close to Rivington

by admin

Have you ever wanted to cook up impressive meals at your Rivington apartment, but you’re lacking the skills to do so?

Luckily for Rivington residents, Hudson Table, Hoboken’s cooking studio located at 1403 Clinton St., is only a two minute walk from your apartment.

Hudson Table hosts at least one cooking class a day which can last anywhere from two hours to four hours, so there are plenty of options to choose from. Coming up in October are Parisian Brunch on Oct. 9, Burger Bash on Oct. 11, Donut Making on Oct. 15 and Easy Weeknight Meals on Oct. 18, just to name a few that still have open spots.

If you choose to book a hands-on class or a one-dish workshop, then you will be divided into groups of four, each assigned to a fully loaded cooking station. Each group gets to prepare each meal from scratch with the assistance and direction of the head instructor. Unlike other classes you may have taken, each group makes the same dishes – you won’t be split off with pieces of the menu.

If you want to purchase a gift certificate for a friend or family member that may need some help in the cooking department, you can also do so at their website at Gift certificates range from $50 to $200.

Besides normal classes throughout the week, Hudson Table can also be used as a private event space and can be host to a birthday, anniversary, bridal/baby shower or a simple get-together.

Thanksgiving is quickly approaching – warranting the question – are you ready for the holidays? For our residents who’d rather use their kitchen for hanging out than cooking, here are some great alternatives to homemade cooking here in Hoboken.

Amanda’s Restaurant on 908 Washington Street will be open and serviing Thanksgiving dinner this year. Serving all your favorite Thanksgiving classics, check their website to see their holiday menu:

Another Hoboken eatery to check out this Thanksgiving is The Brass Rail. Book a table on right on their website for your family and friends this holiday season.

If you prefer staying right here at The Rivington and you need some help planning and preparing your Thanksgiving meal, most local supermarkets can cater the entire meal, or prepare the side-dishes and dessert while you cook your own turkey. Two such places here in Hoboken are Anthony David’s on 953 Bloomfield St. and The Little Grocery on 214 Jefferson St. Both are great options with delicious foods your loved ones will be sure to enjoy.

Still feel like taking on the whole meal yourself? We commend you, but in case you do need some help this Thursday, there are a few hotlines you can call if you fall into any Thanksgiving emergencies.
