Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and we all know what that means – Christmas isn’t far behind, which means that we will all soon be busy searching for gifts for our friends and family.
To find gifts that can’t be found on just any Internet shopping site, head to the Hoboken City Hall Holiday Crafts Fair on Dec. 3 and 4 at Hoboken City Hall at 94 Washington Street, where you can find three floors of artwork and unique handcrafted gift items by local crafters and artisans. You can expect to find jewelry, art, notecards, jewelry boxes, leather bags and hand knits of scarves, shawls, hats, sweaters, blankets and more.
There will also be tons of events at this festive fair to get you in the holiday spirit. There will be free photos with Santa taken by Kelly Photo Boutique on Sunday in front of City Hall, a Meet Mrs. Claus event and face painting both days on the second floor, and caroling by Girl Scout Junior Troop 12023 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 4 on the steps in front of City Hall. Also, the Green Pear Café will be selling coffee, tea, sweets and sandwiches on the second floor and Jamie Fundinger will be wrapping gifts at her table on the ground floor.
Some of the other vendors you can expect to find include Elizabeth Caparaz who sells Giclee prints and cards as well as “Day of the Dead” ornaments and figurines, Charley and Hudson who sell comfy kids’ clothing, scarves onesies, tees and throw pillows and Tomslitehouse Soy Candles who sell 100 percent hand poured soy candles.
