Rivington residents love to make great use of their beautiful kitchens, and now with the new Trader Joe’s coming to your Hoboken neighborhood, you now won’t have to venture far to get organic, unique and artisan items for your lucky dinner guests.
A new Trader Joe’s is slotted to open in Harlow Hoboken at the southwest corner of Willow Avenue and 14th Street, which is only about five blocks from your Rivington apartment. The 11,700 square-foot store plans to open during the first half of next year.
Unlike other grocery stores, Trader Joe’s has a ‘trader’ philosophy, meaning that they seek both great value and distinctive products. As a result, at Trader Joe’s, you’ll find a variety of domestic and imported foods and beverages, including artisan breads, Arabica bean coffees, international frozen entrées, 100 percent juices, fresh crop nuts, deli items, vitamins and more.
Also unlike big-name grocery stores, Trader Joe’s doesn’t have ‘sales’ for a few days just to hike the prices up shortly after or create ‘coupon wars,’ or even use discount cards. Instead, the store’s prices change only when the actual costs of the items change.
Here, you’ll regularly find more than 3,000 items under the Trader Joe’s label, all of which are free of artificial preservatives, artificial flavors, synthetic colors and other undesirable ingredients. Plus, each month, Trader Joe’s releases about a dozen new items, so if you make the store a part of your regular Hoboken food shopping experience, you’ll always find something new to add to your Rivington pantry.
